Your safety matters
ZOTOWEE is designed to help you meet people who share your interests, but meeting someone new always comes with responsibility. Take your time, protect your personal information, and trust your instincts.
1. Keep your personal information private
Never share sensitive information with someone you have just met, including:
Home address Personal phone number Bank or credit card details OTPs or passwords Aadhaar, PAN or other identity documents Financial information Workplace details if you are uncomfortable sharing them Private or intimate photographs
ZOTOWEE will never ask you to share your password or OTP with another member.
2. Stay on ZOTOWEE while getting to know someone
Keep conversations inside ZOTOWEE until you feel comfortable moving elsewhere.
Be cautious if someone:
Immediately asks you to move to another messaging app Pressures you to share your phone number Asks for money Sends suspicious links Asks for financial or personal information Tries to rush the relationship
3. Watch for scams
Never send money to someone you met through ZOTOWEE.
Be particularly careful if someone:
Says they have an emergency and need money Asks you to invest in something Promises financial returns Requests gift cards or cryptocurrency Claims they need money for travel, medical treatment or another urgent situation Asks you to receive or transfer money on their behalf
If someone asks you for money, stop communicating and report the profile.
4. Verify who you are talking to
A verification badge means that the person has completed ZOTOWEE's verification process. It does not guarantee that the person is safe, honest, single, or telling the truth about everything.
Your Terms already make this distinction.
Take time to get to know someone before meeting them.
5. Be careful before meeting in person
If you decide to meet someone:
Meet in a public place.
Choose places such as:
Cafés Restaurants Shopping malls Public parks during busy hours Other busy public locations
For your first few meetings, avoid going directly to someone's home or inviting them to yours.
Tell a friend or family member:
Who you are meeting Where you are going What time you expect to return
Consider sharing your live location with someone you trust.
Arrange your own transportation and keep control of your journey.
6. Trust your instincts
You never owe someone a meeting, conversation, photograph, phone number, or relationship.
If something feels uncomfortable or unsafe:
Leave. Block. Report.
You don't need to explain yourself.
7. Never send intimate content under pressure
Don't send intimate photographs or videos because someone is pressuring, threatening or manipulating you.
If someone threatens to share your private content:
Stop communicating with them Don't send them more content Don't pay them Save relevant evidence Block and report the account Contact the appropriate authorities if necessary
8. Block someone
If you don't want someone to contact you, use the Block option available on their profile or in the chat.
Blocking prevents further unwanted interaction through ZOTOWEE.
9. Report suspicious or abusive behaviour
Report a person if you experience or see:
Harassment Threats Stalking Abuse Scams Impersonation Fake profiles Sexual content that violates our rules Requests involving minors Sharing of private information Commercial solicitation Other behaviour that violates ZOTOWEE's rules
Our Terms prohibit harassment, threats, stalking, abuse, impersonation, sharing private information without consent, commercial schemes and illegal activity.
10. If you feel in immediate danger
ZOTOWEE cannot provide emergency assistance.
If you are in immediate danger or believe a crime has occurred, contact your local emergency services or police.
If appropriate, move to a safe public place and contact someone you trust.
11. Protect your account
Keep your phone and account secure.
Because ZOTOWEE uses phone-number authentication:
Never share your OTP Don't give another person access to your phone Don't share verification codes Contact ZOTOWEE if you believe someone has accessed your account
Your Terms specifically state that anyone who can receive your login codes may be able to access your account.
12. Remember
ZOTOWEE helps you connect. You decide who you trust and who you meet.
Take your time. Protect your information. Meet in public. Tell someone where you're going. And if something doesn't feel right, leave and report it.
